How it works

The conversion uses the Gauss–Krüger projection on the GRS80 ellipsoid, computed with Krüger's series to the sixth order, as the PROJ library does. Across Poland the results match PROJ to the millimetre. The tool treats WGS84 as the ETRF2000 reference frame that PL-1992 and PL-2000 are based on; today the two differ by under a metre because of plate motion, which matters only for centimetre-level surveying.
